About
Aseamlease Berhad was incorporated in September 1983 as a joint venture between Malayan Banking Berhad, Aseambankers Malaysia Berhad and the Sarawak Foundation to provide equipment-leasing services. Aseamlease has since diversified into other financial services such as industrial hire purchase, instalment sale and act hire purchase.
In April 1993, a wholly-owned subsidiary, Aseam Credit Sdn Bhd was set up to carry out hire purchase and other non-leasing and money lending activities such as term-loan financing while Aseamlease Bhd concentrated on equipment leasing.
